Who We Are

The Renewable and Sustainable Energy Research Center (RSERC) pushes the frontiers of technological research in energy storage, analysis, and solutions. We offer unique, resource-rich opportunities at our world-class laboratories to create and innovate without boundaries, collaborating across disciplines to generate real-world impact through both theoretical development and practical systems designed for tomorrow.

RSERC is part of the CIE, a global scientific research center attracting the world’s foremost scientists and researchers. CIE leads worldwide advances in artificial intelligence, autonomous robotics, quantum computing, cryptography and quantum communications, directed energy, secure communication, smart devices, advanced materials, and propulsion and space technologies, and biotechnology fields.

CIE belongs to the Abu Dhabi Government’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), which oversees the technology research in the emirate.

What We Do

We work to create green and sustainable solutions that benefit the UAE economy and society in the long run. Bolstered by a well-resourced team of scientists and researchers, our core focus domains include bioenergy and fuel cells, energy storage, energy analysis and optimized systems design and modelling, and modernized energy solutions.

We explore sustainable and eco-friendly solutions to fossil fuel challenges, resulting in a zero-carbon emission footprint and identifying tech-based applications to solve the world’s environmental challenges.
